Owner & Director
We have been tutoring in Cambridge and surrounding areas since 2015. I am a New Zealand registered teacher and have taught from new entrants to year 13 over the course of my career. I work alongside a team of skilled tutors who will teach and encourage students in a fun, productive learning environment. We take the time to get to know our students and what works best for them and how they learn. I am available and happy to discuss your child's needs at a convenient time and will put in every effort to make your child's time at Action Tutoring a fun and productive learning experience.
Our team of tutors come from a variety of backgrounds, they have the knowledge and training to offer high-quality tutoring. We are committed to ensuring our students feel comfortable with their lessons and they are learning at their own pace.

Kendall
Senior English
Hi, my name is Kendall and I am a senior English tutor here at Action Tutoring. I have a real passion for English, especially at the High School and NCEA levels. I come from a Journalism and Broadcasting background and am someone who loves to learn myself. The most rewarding part about being a tutor is seeing the students I work with gain confidence from one-to-one support.
I am a country girl at heart and have a huge love for animals. I spend my weekends away show jumping at a competitive level.

Hola, my name is Susana.
I am from Mexico, I have a Bachelor in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Math Education. I have taught mathematics for more than 20 years (Calculus, Linear Algebra, Algebra, Analytic Geometry, and Trigonometry).
I have been Teaching conversational Spanish in New Zealand for over two years.
I arrived in NZ in 2018 to teach theoretical subjects at an Aviation School in Hamilton.
I love to teach Spanish and share my culture through not only the language but, also food and dance.

Hi, Im Kath. I am the director of Action Tutoring and tutor also. I have lived in Cambridge most of my life and have been teaching locally for the past 30 years. I am a New Zealand Registered teacher and have worked in the education system in many different areas, covering ages from new entrants to year 13.
I enjoy challenging myself with tramping, arts and creating, previously submitting and be apart of WOW (World of Wearable Artshow). I now enjoy painting and costume making while using mixed media such as clay and natural materials.
I am passionate about travel and culture, with a trip to Uluru at the end of this year, as a lot of my interest is with Australia and Aotearoa indigenous art and culture.

Hi! I'm Sue McHale from England, where I qualified as a Teacher. I have had the pleasure of teaching children of all ages, and from a range of cultural backgrounds,in the UK and in NZ. From my days at Manchester University i have had a passion for reading and the Arts. I play guitar, adore music and my grandchildren. I enjoy travelling, meeting and working with people, especially at Action Tuition in Cambridge, NZ!

Hi, I’m Ryan. I have been a tutor at Action Tutoring since August 2022.
I am studying architecture at Otago starting in 2024.
My passion is triathlon and I have been lucky enough to compete in triathlons all around New Zealand. When I am not training or studying I also enjoy fishing, diving, and mountain biking.

Hi, I’m Andrew, I grew up in Hampshire and West Sussex in England. My undergraduate studies involved music. I have tutored undergraduate and postgraduate level students at the Waikato Management School. Throughout a varied career involving both music and management, my passion for listening to, and making music has been an enriching experience.
One of my other favourite pastimes is reading thrillers, historical novels, and books on philosophy. I enjoy tutoring because it is a positive way of assisting another generation with their ability to communicate effectively.

Kia Ora, my name is Madde Taitimu
I have recently moved to Hamilton to study a Bachelor of Health in Poutū-mārō Biomedical Science at the University of Waikato.
From 2016 to 2019 I was originally studying a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in Chemical and Processing but have since realized that my main passion is helping people within their health through science.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing Basketball and Water polo but also exploring new places in the new city I have moved to.

Kia ora. My name is Sue Duignan. I have worked as a teacher, a social worker, and a local government manager. I love learning and my qualifications include a Master of Management Studies, a postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy, and a Bachelor of Education. I have travelled to many countries, but now with my two adult sons and a beautiful granddaughter in Sydney, it’s mostly across the
ditch. Being out in the garden, walking in nature, or with my nose in a book are my happy places. I believe that every young person deserves to thrive and am happy to contribute to their wellbeing.

Hi, I'm Dani.
I love being active and outdoors, so going for a bush walk always excites me. Martial arts has been a passion of mine since I was little, I also coach some of the younger classes at my martial arts club.
I play netball and do track cycling on the velodrome. When I'm not busy doing my more active interests, I'm doing my other, more relaxed hobbies like reading and crochet. I absolutely love teaching, which is why I have become a tutor at Action Tutoring.

Hi, I'm Daniel. I am a musician and love to play and write all kinds of music. My passion also lies with engines and machines such as cars, motorcycles, and aircraft, so I enjoy areas like math and physics. I plan to study engineering in the future.

Greetings, I'm Geoff.
I am a senior math tutor at Action Tutoring. I obtained both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Queensland, Australia, and I'm now in the final stages of completing my PhD in Food Science at the University of Auckland.
I have always had a passion for mathematics and have taught statistics while working as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Auckland. Through these experiences, I've discovered a genuine enjoyment for teaching and mentoring students, and I'm eager to continue making a positive impact on their educational journey. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy playing golf and drums.

Hi I'm Danika, I grew up in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Now I am based in Hamilton studying a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours as a Mechanical major at the University of Waikato. My passions lie in learning how the world works, my career goal is to end up working at power plants around the world.
On the way, I love to help out others, as science and maths subjects can be overwhelming. Once getting the right support, I believe everyone can achieve their goals and career ambitions. Outside of studying, I love going to the gym and going on nice walks with friends and family.
